A quick and delicious steak and shrimp stir-fry packed with protein and vibrant vegetables, perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb steak (thinly sliced)
  • 1 lb shrimp (peeled and deveined)
  • 2 cups mixed vegetables (bell peppers, broccoli, carrots)
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooked rice or noodles (for serving)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the sliced steak with soy sauce, oyster sauce, and cornstarch. Let marinate for 15 minutes.
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the marinated steak and stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until browned. Remove from the pan and set aside.
  3. In the same pan, add the shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes until they turn pink. Remove and set aside with the steak.
  4. Add the remaining oil to the pan, then toss in the garlic and mixed vegetables. Stir-fry for 4-5 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
  5. Return the steak and shrimp to the pan, mix well, and cook for an additional 2 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Serve hot over cooked rice or noodles.

Notes

Use pre-sliced beef or frozen mixed vegetables to save time.
