Ingredients

  • 1 package puff pastry sheets
  • 1 cup chocolate chip cookie dough
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • Flour (for dusting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry sheets on a lightly floured surface and cut into strips.
  3. Place a spoonful of chocolate chip cookie dough at one end of each strip.
  4. Twist the pastry around the cookie dough, sealing the ends.
  5. Brush the twists with a beaten egg for a golden finish.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For a sweet finish, sprinkle coarse sugar on top after the egg wash. You can also add a thin smear of jam or chopped nuts before twisting.
