Warm, gooey Christmas morning cinnamon rolls ready in 20 minutes. Refrigerated cinnamon roll dough gets the viral heavy cream treatment, a brown sugar cinnamon caramel layer, and a festive cream cheese icing with red and green sprinkles. One pan, five minutes of prep, and a holiday breakfast that tastes completely homemade.

  • Total Time: 20 minutes
  • Yield: 16 rolls 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cans (12.4 oz / 350 g each) refrigerated cinnamon rolls with icing, 8-count each (16 rolls total)
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream, at room temperature
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/3 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened at room temperature
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons red and green holiday sprinkles, plus more for serving

Instructions

  1. Heat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 13×9-inch baking pan. Unwrap both cans of cinnamon rolls and set the icing packets aside.
  2. Arrange all 16 rolls cut side up in the prepared pan, leaving a little space between them.
  3. Pour the heavy cream evenly over and around the rolls, letting it pool in the gaps.
  4. Whisk the melted butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla until it looks like wet sand, then spoon evenly over the rolls.
  5. Bake 14 to 16 minutes, until deep golden with caramel bubbling at the edges and the center roll reads 190°F on an instant-read thermometer.
  6. Rest 3 minutes while you beat the cream cheese, powdered sugar, both icing packets, and vanilla until smooth and glossy.
  7. Spread the icing generously over the warm rolls so it melts into the swirls.
  8. Shower with red and green holiday sprinkles and serve immediately while warm.
