A fast and flavorful Thai basil chicken dish that’s perfect for busy weeknights, ready in under 30 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken breast, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups fresh basil leaves
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon fish sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1-2 chili peppers, chopped (optional)
  • Cooked rice, for serving

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
  2. Add garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  3. Add sliced chicken and cook until browned.
  4. Stir in red bell pepper and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  5. Add soy sauce, oyster sauce, fish sauce, sugar, and chili peppers.
  6. Stir well and cook for another 2 minutes.
  7. Remove from heat and add fresh basil leaves, stirring until wilted.
  8. Serve hot over cooked rice.

Notes

Use pre-sliced chicken for faster prep and store leftover in an airtight container for up to three days.
