A fast, no-fuss pecan bark that combines toasted pecans, brown sugar caramel, and a smooth chocolate layer for a quick treat.

  • Total Time: 40 minutes
  • Yield: 12 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup pecans, chopped
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Spread the chopped pecans on a baking sheet and toast for 8-10 minutes until fragrant.
  3. In a saucepan, melt the butter and stir in the brown sugar. Bring to a boil and cook for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Pour the caramel mixture over the toasted pecans and spread evenly.
  5. Bake for an additional 10 minutes.
  6. Remove from the oven and sprinkle chocolate chips on top.
  7. Let the chocolate melt, then spread it evenly over the pecan mixture.
  8. Allow to cool, then break into pieces and package for gifts.

Notes

Consider using pre-chopped pecans to save time. Lining the baking pan with parchment can help with clean-up, and adding sea salt on top enhances flavors.
