Ingredients

  • 4 croissants, torn into pieces
  • 6 large eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
  • 1/2 cup cooked bacon or sausage, crumbled (optional)
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, heavy cream, salt, and pepper.
  3. In a greased baking dish, layer the torn croissant pieces, followed by the cheese, crumbled bacon or sausage (if using), and green onions.
  4. Pour the egg mixture evenly over the croissant layers.
  5. Cover the dish with foil and refrigerate overnight.
  6. In the morning, remove the foil and bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the casserole is set and golden on top.
  7. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
