  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
  3. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until well combined.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips to ensure they’re evenly distributed throughout the dough.
  6. Drop spoonfuls of the dough onto ungreased baking sheets, allowing space for spreading.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are firm but the center still looks slightly soft.
  8. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to wire racks to cool completely.
