Quick and chewy Nutella Biscotti Bars, perfect for breakfast, dessert, or an afternoon treat. Simple to make and great for busy mornings.

Ingredients

  • 250 g Type 00 flour
  • 8 g Leavener (lievito in polvere per dolci)
  • Pinch of salt
  • 100 g sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 70 ml neutral oil (vegetable/sunflower)
  • 140 g Nutella

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, leavener, salt, and sugar.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together egg and neutral oil until combined.
  4. Combine the wet and dry ingredients until a smooth batter forms.
  5. Spread half of the batter evenly in the prepared pan.
  6. Warm Nutella slightly if needed and spread over the batter layer.
  7. Top with the remaining batter, spreading carefully to cover the Nutella layer.
  8. Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  9. Cool completely before cutting into bars and serving.

Notes

Warm the Nutella in short bursts for easier spreading. Use an offset spatula for a smooth top layer. Chill briefly for even bars.
