Quick and easy heart shaped chocolate chip cookies that are perfect for busy bakers.

Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together flour and baking soda; set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and salt until smooth.
  4. Beat in vanilla extract and eggs until well blended.
  5. Gradually blend in the flour mixture.
  6. Stir in the chocolate chips.
  7. Roll dough into small balls and shape into hearts on a baking sheet.
  8. Bake for 9 to 11 minutes, or until golden brown.
  9. Let cookies cool on a wire rack before serving.

Notes

Use a small cookie scoop for even portioning. Chill the dough for 15 minutes for easier shaping.
