Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 cups Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • Optional: red pepper flakes for heat

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent.
  3. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
  4. Add the ground beef, breaking it apart with a spoon, and cook until browned.
  5. Season with salt, pepper, and soy sauce if using.
  6. Stir in the Brussels sprouts and cook for about 5-7 minutes, until they are tender and slightly caramelized.
  7. If desired, sprinkle with red pepper flakes for some heat.
  8. Serve warm.

Notes

Trim and halve the Brussels sprouts ahead of time for quicker prep. This dish can be stored for up to three days in the refrigerator.
