- 1 pound ground beef
- 2 cups Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- Optional: red pepper flakes for heat
Instructions
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent.
- Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
- Add the ground beef, breaking it apart with a spoon, and cook until browned.
- Season with salt, pepper, and soy sauce if using.
- Stir in the Brussels sprouts and cook for about 5-7 minutes, until they are tender and slightly caramelized.
- If desired, sprinkle with red pepper flakes for some heat.
- Serve warm.
Notes
Trim and halve the Brussels sprouts ahead of time for quicker prep. This dish can be stored for up to three days in the refrigerator.
