Whip up easy Speculoos Balls – Candies for Christmas in just 30 minutes. These festive treats are sweet, spiced, and perfect for holiday gatherings!

  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 20 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 250 g Gewürz-Spekulatius (spiced cookies)
  • 200 g peanut butter
  • 200 g bittersweet chocolate
  • 5 g coconut fat
  • Zest of one organic orange
  • Coarse sea salt for sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Start by finely grinding the 250 g of Gewürz-Spekulatius using a food processor or high-speed blender.
  2. Add 200 g of peanut butter and the zest of one organic orange to the crushed cookies. Knead until a sandy, oily dough forms.
  3. Take portions of the mixture (around 10 g each) and roll them between your palms to form small balls.
  4. Place the balls on a plate and refrigerate for at least one hour to firm up.
  5. After chilling, roll the balls again gently between your hands to make them smooth.
  6. In a double boiler, melt the 200 g of chocolate with 5 g of coconut fat, stirring until smooth.
  7. Using a chocolate dipping fork, dip each ball into the melted chocolate and place it on a wire rack.
  8. Sprinkle a few coarse sea salt crystals on top while the chocolate is still wet.
  9. Allow the chocolates to cool and set completely, preferably overnight for the best results.
  10. Place the finished treats in small paper candy cups and store them in an airtight container in a cool place.

Notes

The longer the balls sit in the fridge, the more the flavors blend. Feel free to mix in extras like chopped nuts or dried fruits for added texture.
