- 4 large potatoes
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- Peel the potatoes and cut them into sticks.
- Boil the potato sticks in salted water until tender, about 5-7 minutes. Drain and let cool.
- In one bowl, place flour. In another bowl, beat the eggs. In a third bowl, mix breadcrumbs with salt and pepper.
- Dip each potato stick in flour, then in egg, and finally coat with breadcrumbs.
- Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
- Fry the potato cheese sticks until golden brown on all sides, about 3-4 minutes.
- Drain on paper towels and serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
Notes
For a healthier twist, consider baking instead of frying. Serve with spicy ketchup or ranch dressing.
