Quick and delicious garlic knots with gooey mozzarella, perfect as an appetizer or side dish.

  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine warm water, yeast, and sugar. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until foamy.
  2. Add olive oil, flour, and salt to the yeast mixture and knead until smooth.
  3. Let the dough rise in a warm place for about 60 minutes, or until doubled in size.
  4. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  5. Punch down the dough and divide it into small pieces. Roll each piece into a knot shape.
  6. Place knots on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Mix melted butter, garlic, parsley, garlic powder, and salt in a separate bowl. Brush this mixture onto the knots.
  8. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

For the best results, ensure your water is warm but not hot, and knead the dough well for fluffiness.
