- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 1 ripe pear, thinly sliced
- 100g Brie cheese, rind removed and cubed
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the sliced pears and sprinkle them with brown sugar. Cook for about 5 minutes until caramelized and tender.
- Roll out the thawed puff pastry on a lightly floured surface and cut it into desired snowflake shapes.
- Place a spoonful of the caramelized pears and a few cubes of Brie on each pastry shape.
- Fold or seal the pastries to encase the filling adequately.
- Gently brush the tops with the beaten egg to achieve a beautiful golden color after baking.
- Place the pastries in the oven and bake for 15-20 minutes or until they are golden brown.
