Instructions
- In a saucepan, combine the milk and heavy cream over medium heat.
- Add the chocolate chips and stir until melted and smooth.
- Stir in the peppermint extract and sugar if desired.
- Heat until warm, then pour into mugs.
- Top with whipped cream and crushed candy canes.
- Serve hot.
