Ingredients

  • 2 ripe bananas
  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup nut butter (optional)
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips or nuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8 inch baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth.
  3. Add the rolled oats, cinnamon, honey (or maple syrup), nut butter (if using), salt, and vanilla extract to the bowl. Mix until well combined.
  4. Stir in chocolate chips or nuts if desired.
  5. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
  7. Let cool before cutting into bars. Enjoy your healthy snack!

Notes
