Delicious Au Gratin Potato Stacks are quick and cheesy, perfect for a comforting meal.

Ingredients

  • 4 large potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar or Gruyere)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: fresh herbs (thyme or rosemary) for seasoning

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the melted butter, heavy cream, salt, and pepper.
  3. Grease a muffin tin or ramekins with butter to prevent sticking.
  4. Layer the potato slices in the tin, alternating with cheese and the cream mixture, until each cup is filled.
  5. Bake for about 30-35 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender and the tops are golden brown.
  6. Let cool slightly before removing from the tin; serve hot and enjoy!
