- 4 large potatoes, thinly sliced
- 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar or Gruyere)
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: fresh herbs (thyme or rosemary) for seasoning
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the melted butter, heavy cream, salt, and pepper.
- Grease a muffin tin or ramekins with butter to prevent sticking.
- Layer the potato slices in the tin, alternating with cheese and the cream mixture, until each cup is filled.
- Bake for about 30-35 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender and the tops are golden brown.
- Let cool slightly before removing from the tin; serve hot and enjoy!
Notes
For an extra crunch, consider adding breadcrumbs on top before baking.
